Ascot’s ongoing commitment to supporting the Armed Forces community

We were proud to see one of our National Account Managers, Craige Hutchinson, invited back to his old stomping ground at the Army School of Physical Training, Fox Lines, Aldershot, to attend the Annual Army Judo Championships.

Craige served 12 years in the Army, spending 6 of those years as Head Coach for Army Judo, so it was a fantastic opportunity to return, reconnect, and engage with serving personnel. During his visit, Craige spoke with soldiers from a wide range of cap badges, sharing insights into what life looks like outside the military and how their skills transition seamlessly into the Facilities Management (FM) sector.

From leadership and management to organisational skills, trades, health & safety, and operational delivery, the conversations highlighted just how transferable military experience is into FM. It was a real privilege to speak with service personnel at all stages of their careers, from those just starting out to others preparing for their next chapter.

Craige commented: It was privilege to return to Fox Lines for the Annual Army Judo Championships and reconnect with serving personnel. The leadership and transferable skills across the Army are second to none, and it was great to have honest conversations about life beyond service. Proud to be part of an organisation like Ascot that genuinely supports the Armed Forces community
