Reflecting on Ascot’s Social Value Journey 2024 and look ahead to 2025

Posted

2024 has been a year of growth, collaboration, and impact for Ascot Services UK Ltd, as we continued our commitment to creating positive change in the communities we serve.

Through a series of focused initiatives to add Social Value, we have worked hard to make a difference and improve lives.

Here is a look back at some key highlights:

Supporting Older People Living Independently (February)
We kicked off the year with a powerful event focused on empowering older individuals to maintain their independence.

National 3 Peaks Challenge (July)
In July, a team of our incredible colleagues took on the National 3 Peaks Challenge, scaling the three highest peaks in Scotland, England, and Wales.

Onboarding SMEs (October)
In October, we hosted an event dedicated to onboarding and supporting Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs).

Mental Health and Wellbeing (November)
In November, we took a major step forward in addressing mental health and wellbeing, including training extra MH First Aiders.

Project Social Value Plans
We have also been committed to integrating Social Value into our projects. One standout example was our Construction and Reconfiguration of a Northwest Ambulance Station, set to complete mid-January 2025. As part of this project, we were required to generate 12% Social Value Add. Proudly, Ascot Services went beyond the target and achieved an impressive 20% Social Value Add—further demonstrating our dedication to making a positive impact on the communities we serve.

Looking ahead to 2025
We are excited to continue this momentum by continuing with our annual charity days, incorporating Social Value into our Projects, as well as exploring new Social Value topics in collaboration with our Procure Partnership partners:

Women in Construction – We will focus on empowering women and promoting gender diversity within the construction sector, ensuring equal opportunities and creating pathways for success.

🌱 Green Spaces – Environmental sustainability remains a top priority, and we will explore initiatives that enhance green spaces, contributing to healthier and more vibrant communities.

👵 Elderly Person’s Independence – Continuing our work from 2024, we’ll delve deeper into solutions and strategies that help elderly people live independently, improving their quality of life.

We are incredibly proud of our achievements in 2024 and look forward to building on these successes in 2025. By collaborating with our partners and communities, we are dedicated to making a lasting impact on the lives of those who need it most.
